'Formed in 1993, Gehenna were, alongside Emperor, were one of the first black metal bands to make use of heavy keyboards in the Norwegian black metal scene, in the process creating some of the most atmospheric and bewitching songs in the genre. 

Somewhat overlooked today due to the band's sporadic activity, this debut full-length, originally released in 1995, is a genuine masterpiece of epic, catchy, occult, aggressive, atmospheric, and melodic black metal, and should be in the shelves of any self-respecting black metal devotee. One of the first black metal albums with such heavy symphonic touches this also features the vocals of Garm of Ulver.
